Hello Ian & Elaine, welcome to the site.

We all understand the heartache and we hope that sharing your experience of dear Will with us all will help in some small way. It seems no time at all since you took him to your hearts 13 years ago.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts are with you. I think most of us on here will understand what you are going through right now, it isn't easy parting with a dear friend. Time makes it easier to bear, but they are never far away from our thoughts, and the tears still come. In time the good memories take over, and you learn to smile again at some of the experiences you had together, and the love you had never leaves you.

Hi, and welcome to our site.

So very sorry to hear of your sad loss of Will. The years we have with our wonderful companions are never long enough, and when we have to let them go, they leave such a big hole in our lives. But as Lynn has said, time will heal and happy memories will come to the fore, and you will smile again.

Our thoughts are with you.

I am so very sorry that you have lost your beloved Willow.

We also lost our Oliver just two months ago and all our feelings are so sad in these initial days.

I hoped for a rainbow today when the sun came out after the rain so I could look up and feel Olly is still with me. If it is of any help, I used a lovely photo of Olly as wallpaper for my computer and I look at his lovely face so many times every day. I still see his huge nose and beautiful brown eyes looking right at me and to me it is of some comfort.

We will all find a comfort in our memories, just as you will too with Willow.

Sending my condolences, understanding and assurance that the sadness will get easier, when it is right for you.

The loss of a special golden like willow must be devastating,a lot of us know the emptiness you must be feeling right now. Time does help, but at other times the tears flow, your memories of him will never fade. He was a part of your family for so long but as always its never long enough. We are thinking of you at this sad time and send you our love, Lenny Celia. Emily and Snowy. :love4

So sorry to hear of your loss. I will never understand why dogs live such short lives, as they give us all such happiness. Anyone who has lost a dear friend knows they leave an indelible imprint on our hearts.

Thinking of you at this sadest of times.
