We were walking along the sea edge as usual when one of the many surfers in the quite choppy sea caught a wave, sttod on his board and rode the curl for about 20 or 30 yards. (Pretty impressive around these parts).
Molly stood stock still and did her pointer impression - head forward; front paw raised; tail straight out at the rudder end.
The surfer wobbled and shouted and plopped into the sea, arms flailing and legs randomly flying over his head.
Molly, seeing the poor human - in such distress and in obvious peril of his life - bounded to the rescue. She rushed in with a purpose and made straight for the casualty.
Such heroism in one so young!
Of course, the surfer was more than a little surprised when he got back on his board pursued by a very wet goldie intent on capturing him out of the jaws of death!
But that's irrelevant. It's the thought that counts.
