Back from our hols

Post by lynn wise »

Hello all, have just had the most wonderful break. A cottage in the chocolate box village of Hutton Buscel near Scarborough.Humans and dogs had a super time. On the beach every day for a gallop, swim (paddle in Woodys case ! ) and a good walk for us. Glorious weather, not a drop of the wet stuff.
One of our daily walks took us onto a newly planted wood. One day, a lady came around the corner, did a double take at the dogs, " Ooh, thought I was seeing double " following on behind were 2 Goldens, boy and girl. Inevitably, where did you get them? NO prizes for guessing, :1951: Auntie Jan. Dougal and Daisy, they all had a lovely meeting up. Him indoors took the camera along next time we went, no sign of them. Then we went again, there they were, NO camera!!!! So, sorry we can't put a photo of them all on gallery, but it was lovely to keep seeing them with Mum.

Well, back in harness, washer duties call :2007:

How did Molly and I miss you? Botheration!

If you're back in the area, do let me know. Molly loves a good retriever run.

Glad you had fun on the beach. We do it every day and it never even starts to lose its appeal. In fact we were there twice yesterdaybecause Molly was still hugely energatic at midnight (Yawn!) so we went for a midnight walk in an almost full moon. Molly was insane with joy because the seagulls are relatively sleepy at that time and she can stalk them much more effectively. :1945:

Well, miss you we did :2035:
We had a fabulous holiday, haven't quite come down to earth yet. Every day to the beach, and met a lot of Goldens. Also, a Goldendoodle, that looked just like a Goldie apart from his head, which was definately Poodle. Met a nice couple from the Barnsley area that were taking their 2 boys to the seaside for the day, eeh we're a soft lot :1960
The dogs had a fantastic time, even Woody liked the sea, although he still won't lift his feet off. One day, who knows?

Glad you had a nice time with no rain, I felt awful after I had said how good the weather was in Malvern (got myself one of those Vodafone 'dongle thingys' so when the 'atmospherics' were ok I could follow what was going on, sometimes couldn't !!! Sorry you didn't get any photographs of Dougal and Daisy, but I bet you've got some of Willow and Woody for my next batch of calendars (please)
