How awful for Mac and his mum. It really makes you think about safety though. To be honest, I wouldn't let ours near a sheer drop, I couldn't live with myself if anything should happen. We were in Malham at the weekend walking, at the top of the cove David wanted to take photos, I took one look at the people like flies in the valley, and did a swift about turn. I had visions of the dogs egging one another on, then going over the edge. Even David thought it was a bit hairy.

Flipping heck. He was a lucky lad. I must admit I would be miles away from the edge of anywhere not only for the dogs but for me as well. Not very brave

Yes we read all about Mac and how is colar saved him. He is recovering from a broken leg and punctured lung.
Did anyone see the two Border Collies last night on the TV.
The pair where found wandering together in a country lane, and when a motorist stopped they jumped into the car.
It turned out at the Rescue that one was blind and followed the other one everywhere.
It showed how, like Jan, the lengths the Rescue went to in order to find them a good home together.
Pat, Syd , Jazz & Candy

No, I didn't see that one Syd. Oh the poor loves, how awful for them. So nice to hear that they were found and rehomed together. Felt quite upset reading that, but a happy ending.
Have heard stories before about blind dogs and their "eye friend", isn't it amazing what can happen. What a truly wonderful bond must exist between them.

Oh How sad for them to be wandering about and lucky they didn't get split up when on the road. Hope they are happily settled now

There are some wonderful stories of dogs and other animals coping with adversity.
Fortunately, these two were rescued. Others just have to do the best they can.
It's really quite humbling
