Some of the dogs owners creep up to the rescue centres main gates at night and tie their unwanted pets to it before slipping away, others drop their dogs off over the gate and drive off, one owner even left his pet tethered to a mobile phone mast about 50 yds away, thankfully the staff there heard the dog bark and took him in.

We know that there are all sorts of reasons why dogs need to be rehomed including the 'credit crunch' but why can't a human being have the decency to hand the dog over in person, and at least give the rescue centre some information about their 'unwanted pet', in order to help a new 'forever owner'.
