Old Age

Post by lynn wise »

A note came with a Xmas card today from friends on the Isle of Wight.
They have just lost their oldest Golden, at the ripe old age of 17 +1/2.
Plus they have 2 remaining at 15+.Must be something in the air there.
Isn't that wonderful to keep your friends to that ripe age?

Jan will know who I mean here. They were Stenbury's.

Is 17+ a record?

15 is a wonderful age but 17 is marvellous . I believe friends of Bernards who have Irish Setters had a Golden to 18 but I could be wrong ( hardly likeley but it has been known to happen) Also I am sure I have heard of the odd one even older. Still wonderful though.
