Just wondered if Jan has had a call from the Whitehouse as it looks as if
obama is looking for a dog for his two Girls and they think he may choose
a rescue dog one never knows. People have also being talking about
a Golden Retriver as well

If he does have a golden retriever I hope it is a rescue
If he does have a golden retriever I hope that it is a rescue and he does make sure everyone knows it is a rescued dog, otherwise there will be even more retrievers in rescue as a result, i.e, 101 dalmatian film came out, everyone wanted one, the Andrex advert has a lot to answer for, more labradors in rescue, I just hope he gets his message through.
This might be not be politically correct and it certainly isn't under the correct heading here BUT, I can't understand why there has to be a changeover period of over 70 days, before Obama gets into the White House in January 2009... I'm worried in case anymore wars are started before GW leaves !!!!! Anyone else noticed him congratulating Obama on TV looked like he had just sucked a lemon.

Apparently the 70 days was when they first began choosing a President and it took so long for them to get from wherever they were to the White house they needed the time. It was stagecoach then
No Russell I haven't had a call. Not sure whether they would be suitable. not at home enough. Mind you there are lots of Golden Retriever Rescues in America.
