Solo's new home

Post by PaulZ »

Today we adopted Solo (a 3 year old golden). He is a big beautiful boy and travelled home in the car without any trouble at all. Although getting used to his new surroundings he has been a big hit with our son and his friends. Not too bothered about our cats and currently sleeping right at my feet. Been out for a 20 min walk but was getting a little tired at that point. Had tea and feels much better.

Will keep posting with updates. Just wanted to say thank you to Jan for introducing us and making our house smile again. :)

Lovely news, may you have many happy times with Solo. It's always such a thrill to hear of a rehoming. Thankyou for opening your hearts and home to one of our beautiful breed.

By the way, love his name.

You could be right Russell.

We've always had girls too, and they all seemed to "lean" towards my husband, or it could be that the girls are more independent.

When there's food about, boys or girls, they're all the same

Welcome to the site Paul and Jasper. He looks like a stunning boy - you will have lots of fun together!!

I think the boys are more loveable too - Toby always comes for a mummy cuddle before he goes to bed. Whereas the girls can take it or leave it and definately on their terms :D

not sure about the boy, girl thing. Our last retriever was a boy and he was not particularly affectionate :? , Holly on the other hand spends most evenings sat on my knee. As I type this, she is comfortably placed between Pat and two of the boys being stroked and cuddled  We probably need another one to compare !!
