Cornwall holiday
A few photos of the girls on holiday in Cornwall. Weather was exceptionally hot so didn't go very far this time. Kept to walking in shade and going to the river for swims. Fern saw her first river and was totally taken on with it. Considering she will never have seen water she was terrific. A natural swimmer.

Re: Cornwall holiday
That was Ferns first swim. Just amazed that she was fearless as we don't think she will ever have seen water before. Poor little mite, she didn't have a family life previously that we can tell, everything was a new experience for her. The car now means fun and it isn't going to gobble her up, although she doesn't like walking up the drive passed it.
What she must have gone through we can only guess, but now she is learning to be a much loved family member.

That was just very special to see Willow and Fern enjoying the water. How different is Fern's life now with all these new experiences She is coming on in leaps and bounds.

Re: Cornwall holiday
Thanks Russell,
Fern is coming along nicely but still can be wary at times when someone approaches quickly with their hand, possibly I think due to the fact she sustained damage to one eye which seems to have only partial sight. Other than that she is wonderful when she gets to know people, nudges for attention. Just finished her season so will send her to Vets in November for neutering. Coat coming along as she cast out fully, tail looked as though it belonged to a rat at one point. Also when she came her coat felt like a brillo pad after having her litter, coming back into coat lovely and soft and shiny. Plenty of feathering but not much in the way of top coat yet. Who cares, she is a little treasure. Putting on weight at last, 2 kilos in a month, so well pleased that we have finally got her on the right road. Still a way to go, but the difference is nothing short of miraculous, even people round and about are commenting on how well she is doing. Must be doing something right!!!
