We have been in fits of laughter this week as Samson seems to think he can use the cat flap as a portal to the outside world. It is the funniest thing to behold when we walk into the kitchen to see Samson wagging his rear end like mad with his head completey invisible.
It is even funnier from the other side when in the garden and this great big head pops through the flap with that great big silly retriever grin on his face.
Not sure the cats are too impressed at having to share their escape hatch.
I will pop a couple of pictures on here later today - it really is very funny.
We had a cat flap at our previous home. When we brought Timber home as a 7 week pup', he used to use it to go into the conservatory. First night, we slept lightly, listening for him. There was a rattle of the flap, up we both shot, no sign of puppy in the kitchen, hearts pounding, we opened the door, there he was curled up in the pile of outdoor shoes on the door mat, hard and fast asleep! That was a regular occurrence for a while. Then as he grew up, he would sleep with his head hanging through, or when anyone came to the door he would poke his head through to see who it was.Caused a lot merriment with people. All adds to the enjoyment of dog ownership.
