Maggie's new home

Post by citybaz »

Hello everyone and especially Jan , 5 weeks ago yesterday we came to see Maggie , a beautiful 22 months old Golden who through no fault of her own found herself in need of a good home. We lost our golden retriever Ruby last August 1 day after her 1st birthday through a freak illness and swore we would never have another dog. Then we softened after 8 months and now we can not tell you how happy we are to have Maggie.
She has setted in to our family very well indeed ..and is enjoying a very active outdoor life with good walks and meeting lots of other dogs to play with. She plays really well , loves a swim and in all honesty I have only heard her bark once at another dog.. and that was because she was wanting to play some more!
We cannot thank Jan enough for this beautiful girl and I hope her previous owners see this post to see how happy and settled she is.

Thanks Jan.

What a happy looking golden, I can remember saying the exact same thing when I lost my first golden Judy at 13 yrs that I would not have another because it was so heartbreaking!! However we collected Holly from Jan when she was only 16/17 months old. She is now 10 years and 5months old and she is absolutely golden. Happy forever home to Maggie and I am so happy for you all :) :love5 Lesley, Steve and Holly :2362:

Welcome To Maggie and family. What a lovely girl, no wonder you were smittled.
So very pleased to see her enjoying herself so much, what a life.
Maggie looks to be a very good water dog, enjoying herself swimming, and the snow, did she manage to catch the mouse? Love to see them like that, bottoms up, head down, there just might be something in there!!!
Thankyou for sharing the pictures and your story, wish you so many happy hours with your Maggie.

That's lovely news for another beautiful golden, Jan does such a fantastic job.

Maggie's beautiful and she looks to have a similar 'wrinkle' to our Abigail (1994-2005) a 'cowlick' where the fur grows in a different direction along her nose. :love4

Couldn't imagine our lives without a dog. since 1978 we always had two goldens and then three for the last few years of Jasmine's life, then unexpectedly Abby died 11 weeks after Jasmine, a week later Jan waved her magic wand for a second time...... and Cobi came to stay with 'big Gin'. :love4
