Well done mum :)

Our last dog (retriever cross but mostly retriever) used to have problems with snow in her furry paws - the snow used to melt between her claws and somehow freeze again on top of her paws. We always thought the ice balls made her paws looked like chandeliers :)

Lovely picture. Where does the burst of energy come from when it is snowy?! Dora is always hyper on a walk but when it is snowy she goes into overdrive - John and I are exhausted after wading through the snow and trying to keep up with her.

We put olive oil on their paws yesterday and it seemed to keep away the snowballs from their paws -and it was great fun licking up oily pawprints on the kitchen tiles!!!!

Regards

Hope that was the dogs and not you Vicki :1945:

We have a huge fall of snow this morning, and it's still at it. As we all know, the dogs love it, but I was shattered after ploughing through it. Very little moving here, only the local children with sledges. Oh to be young again!!!

Aww what a lovely photo :1971
Our last golden, Ellie, used to get ice inbetween her pads and would just sit down 'til we removed it but Honey doesn't seem to get any at all!

This is such a beautiful photo.Look at the look of love.
It reminds me of our very first retriever Briar. She came
limping in off her walk one day with her Dad straight to
find me and lifted her paw in the air.She had the biggest
rose thorn stuck in her pad.She knew just who to come
to to remove it.She was 9 when she came to us and my
first dog.I was so touched and we formed an incredible
bond. The first of 6 so far.
