Hi, I was going to go to Blithfield this morning!!!, but errr tripped over a tree stump in the garden & twisted "me" ankle do you park near the education centre?, if so I'll keep a look out regards Steve.
Hi, yes we parked near the education centre. We have not been there before and found the walk really good. We were the only people on the red walk too
and it was great to be able to see all the birds there and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. Definitely will go again, on a weekday and try the yellow route and blue
route next time. Holly loved it but would have loved to run free but, as you know, you must keep the dogs on a lead. It was a nice ride out for a change. Lesley, Steve and Holly
'Twas Jackie's fault!, she didn't get the clothes line in last night, so' before I left for Blithfield I thought I'd tidy it away, ouch,...........She's in a meeting tonight so I've opened a bottle of French medicine!, after a couple of glasses ""ankles"" better; brilliant stuff!!!
Not really Lynn, there is a trout angling club, a sailing club and its home to "The Midland Bird Watching Club, but most of the time its very quiet. Lovely
Lovely photographs of Holly in a beautiful setting, we know Blithfield well (not to walk around though as Ginnie was a water diviner......smell it from miles away....all ours have loved water with the exception of Gemma) I can remember as a teenager being waist deep in the cold water of it 'sailing' with a friend (only once)
Sorry to hear about the ankle Steve.... your pain brought back memories on Cannock Chase in 2006 when Ginnie went one way and I went the other. (I was out of plaster a few days before Christmas, spoilt their walk that day)
Les has fished Blithfield (trout) very peaceful and relaxing. The top of a church can be seen when the water is very very low, a small hamlet was flooded to build the reservoir. Carry on up the hill into Abbots Bromely which has 5 pubs !!!
