Max!

Post by sue »

We lost Ben at 11 years, he was our first rescued retriever from Jan who we'd had for 7.5 years. Before he was re-homed he'd been ill treated but over the years he'd learnt to love us and of course we loved him too. As you can imagine we were devastated when he died.

After 3 days of no dog, no dog hairs, nobody to walk and the house empty we decided to phone Jan. She told us she had Max who was 15 months old and boisterous, so after a sleepless night we took the 1 hour trip to Chorley 7 hours early!

Max is the largest dog we've ever had, we spent the first 2 days walking, playing ball and settling him into his new home. He's absoloutly gorgeous (aren't they all?) and full of fun he's very responsive when he feels like it but is now affectioantely know locally as "MadMax" as throws his heart and soul into everything he does, nothign is done quietly or gentley. He loves to to chase squirrels, jump in the muddy canal, he'll eat anything including the occasional mouse which we try to discourage.

Below is a photo of Max.
