Hi there!
Last weekend we spent another four-day break with our tourer caravan, at the farm we go to in Rhos-on-Sea.
Sam enjoyed himself, but he didn't have a swim this time as the tide was so high it was coming onto the road in places, and even moreso at Llandudno.
But he had fun watching the free range hens! They now have ten, and if you go out in the car, when you get back, they all come clucking up to greet you, and this time, I opened the caravan door, and one of them was inside before me! They are so tame, and fortunately, Sam doesn't bother about them - just watches them flutter up and drink from his water bowl!!
The weather was wet on and off on the Thursday, but after that, it was blue skies and sunshine in the daytime, but rather cold. So we wrapped up well and sallied forth with Sam for some good walks, and I think it really did us all good.
That was our last trip with the caravan for this year, so now I'm getting ready for a spell of hibernation (when I'm not working!)
We discovered Bodafon Farm on the left, just as you drop down onto the seafront at Llandudno. It is an official sanctuary, and they have birds of prey, laughing Jackass, rabbits, budgies and parakeets, Llamas, Shire horses, unusual breeds of sheep, goats and all sorts of things. The birds of prey were all born into captivity elsewhere, and were given to the sanctuary when the owners couldn't cope with them.
There is also a lovely restaurant, a large yard filled with plastic tractors for the little children, and a big play area with things to climb and swing on for older children.
It is a working farm - sheep and beef cattle - and is a good place to visit if you are in the area.
We shall certainly go there again next year.
Hope you have all had some time away to recharge batteries. and that you all and your beautiful Goldens are feeling better for it.
Best wishes to you all - Samsmum (Joyce)
