Thank you all for your kind words, we miss Buttons terribly, we are dog lovers at heart, but Buttons settled in with all our dogs, he knew his place but stood his ground when he needed to , our first dog Sunny had a reminder with a scratch mark on his nose, for a good few years, but they formed a special friendship that was a joy to see, Snowy had a little bit of that bond, but it never reached the heights of Sunny and Buttons, maybe with more time it may have.Julia we do understand how the little things that she did made Poppy so special , and you expect her to come in and greet you just like she always did.Those memories will never fade, but the pain that they also bring will fade. I know our sense of loss is nothing compared to yours, and that is no disrespect to Buttons. :love4

Oh Julia i am so sorry not been on here for a bit.So sorry you have lost dear Poppy.We lost Sam after 3 years at 6 you love them so much so very quickly but you did a wonderful thing giving Poppy a loving home and thats what matters here most.I know how hard it it as we are still getting over losing Ellie.Take care
