Hi to everyone

Hi, I have recently joined, I don't have any goldens at the moment as I work long hours over two days. I have had three, two lovely girls and my handsome boy all of which I miss very much, once youv'e had a golden things are never the same. My first was an ex-breeding girl who used to run in circles and drop to the floor when you went near her when it thundered would pound the window to get out, she did come round with patience and help from my shep, she lived till the grand old age of 17 years, the next two I had from pups they were my beautiful babies they lived till they were 15 years so sad to lose them. I do feel that some of the oldies do have a rough time chucked out for a new pup. dannelle1 x :2362:

Hello Dannelle 1,
Welcome to the site, a haven for all lovers of this wonderful breed of dogs. You have certainly got a good lifespan out of your dogs. Sorry you cannot have one at the moment, you are thinking about the dog's life and not just yours.
We have two Golden Oldies from the NWGRR . Candy is 13 next Month, she came to us when she was 10.
Jazz will be 13 in June and he came to us when he was nearly 2. Both still active and full of enthusiasm for life.
We have an friend who uses the dogs on the site as cyber dogs. As he is unable to give one a good life.
Pat, Syd , Jazz & Candy.

Welcome Dannelle!
Hope your situation allows you to have another Golden before too long. Life is not the same when you have had them in the past.
Hope you enjoy the site - it is great to hear how each others' pets are getting on.
We have had Sam for over 3-1/2 years and he has proved to be a wonderful companion and a much-beloved member of our family.
Best wishes - Samsmum (Joyce). :hello1:

:2035: Hi. thanks for all your replies. I do miss not having a golden, I miss the the hairs not having the sofa to myself because of my great galute dannyboy I shouldn't have but he was my favourite, he absolutely loved the water, I miss the greeting when you come in the walks even in bad weather in fact everything about them. I will have another one or two whether it be an oldy or any that needs another home illtreated or otherwise.
I have enjoyed the stories on here they really are a joy to read. :love6:
