I went down the garden again today to throw the red Queaky for Sam, and guess what - it bounced in the pond again! Straight to the bottom, can't locate it at all.
I had to bring Sam in and close the door as he was all ready to jump in and look for it, and I couldn't face a pondweed covered dog as I have the organ repair man here at the moment.
So there it stays until David comes home tonight!!
I keep getting the odd baleful look from Sam as he goes to the door and looks hopeful.
I don't know who will learn first - we're both crazy aren't we?
No, please don't answer that!!
Best wishes to you all - Samsmum.

Hi
Well Harold seems to be the ideal name for the caring neighbour. I also have a Harold who is 80 and loves our dogs to bits. He is too elderly to manage dogs himself but he dotes on ours and gives them "Bickies" over the fence and plays ball when Phoebe, (Missie, at times when she is headstrong) throws it back over the fence.
He also made us laugh when we brought Phoebe home with us, "Whats her name" he asked, (very broad Norfolk) Phoebe, we replied. "I'll write that in my book" he said, getting a little black book out, " F-E-E ................"
I will never know if he was having me on, but it was a classic.
