Jan i am so so sorry i haven't been on the forum for a few days and only just seen your post about Tessa.I am so very sorry for your loss .Tessa was a very special girl to you.I know it won't be any consolation to you at all but I think you did a fantastic job getting her to the wonderful age of 15.You are absolutely right we never feel we have them long enough.They are such loyal ,wonderful friends.I do feel they take a little bit of us with them.I just know we will meet them again one day .You were so kind to me when i lost Sam i send you all my love to you and Duke.I know exactly how you must be feeling right now its such a big wrench and such a brave decision to let them go when every bone in your body wants to keep them by your side.We are all here for you Jan ,every one of us.The joy you bring to all us lucky owners and especially to the lost souls that you are responsible for saving.It is just the most wonderful thing that you do and we are all indebted to you in a way that words can't express.Having a rescue golden has made my life complete.Monty has blossomed into the most wonderful boy.We totally adore him.He is completely a different dog to the boy we first met at the kennels.
My heart goes out to you and Duke and send you all my heartfelt wishes of comfort.
