Re: Afternoon walks
Goodness knows.
It's getting beyond a joke now, isn't it.
On the plus side, the dogs are loving it. Also, no muddy feet to contend with.
Holly looks to be having a wonderful time, I'm sure she won't want it to end.
Love the 2nd photo, ears flapping and a big grin. Lovely.

Re: Afternoon walks
Lovely photographs of Holly... don't they just love the snow, and it tires them out quicker

Re: Afternoon walks
Lovely pictures again, Holly is just loving all this snow but I personally think it has outstayed it's welcome now.

Re: Afternoon walks
True am too fed up with it now, but as you all say our dogs just love it, the footpaths around here are a nightmare so have to cheat and take my two in the car to the local playing fields and have an hour running and snow rolling instead...

Re: Afternoon walks
ANYONE WORRIED BY THE ICY PAVEMENTS ......Have a look at www.yaktrax.co.uk These have over 60 five out of 5 star reviews.
I bought ours from QVC and was surprised that there are 2 sets for the price of £17.50 + p and p. but QVC have sold out at the present time, walked over packed snow and ice for ages this morning and no problems with traction, felt steady and no slipping (broke my ankle in 2006 so have been neurotic about slippy conditions ever since and would not venture out till I got these) There is also another sort called 'get a grip' (have seen them on the Amazon website as well as QVC) with small carbide spikes (we also have the original type, not very attractive to look at but you can drive in ours and I've walked around the supermarket without any problems, I don't like driving in the yaktrax sort or walking on surfaces other the ice and snow because it is slippy, it does tell you not to weat them indoors on the leaflet anyway) but after hearing Jan's story about losing these spikes in the snow from the 'get a grip' sort and then having read the QVC 'reviewers' comments I don't think these are as robust or up to the job.
