Hello Jan
We have recently got a dog called Bonnie from you and she is beautiful. Already we have seen how peaceful she can be and also how active she can be. She pulls a bit when we walk her but when we have taught her not to pull, it will be fine. from Jason
Hello Jan,
Bonnie is doing really well, eating well and enjoying been around us. She is very lovable and well-behaved. We will train her to walk better on the lead for a few weeks, not risking letting her off until trained properly. Hope you like the photographs.
Carol.
Here are some pictures we have taken in the first 2 days.
Hi Carol,
More wonderful news at the start of the year!
A big welcome to Bonnie, What a beautiful girl!
Hope everything goes well for you all and do keep us up to date with her progress.
Bonnie is lovely. Another happy story told in photographs to start the new year...funny how soon they learn that the sofa is also 'theirs' I can't remember the last time we sat on ours, and I think Carolyn and Ian have said exactly the same thing.
Hello Jason and Carol,
Welcome to the "Happy Club" of Retriever Rescue dog owners.
Jan always seems to find exactly the right people for each dog - it is uncanny.
So glad you are fixed up with such a beautiful dog - the pictures are super.
Keep up the good work.
Happy New Year to all - Samsmum.
Thank you so much for your kind comments. We are hoping to get Bonnie her own 'bed' soon but she still thinks the settee is her bed so we don't bother really. It washes as it is leather. Seems she likes the carpet too, and likes to place her paw on someone's foot when she lays down near us. She is really lovely and settling quite well.Last week with all the snow, I couldn't get to work and Jason was off schoo because it was closed due to the snow. Bonnie had our company 24/7 and it worked out really well as she followed us everywhere at first, didn't like one of us to go out of the room to the loo for instance!!She sleeps well though when it is bed time and sleeps in the living room. We had to leave her in the car for 20 mins on her own and she was very good. When I went to work for a while and Paul back at work she stayed with Jason and didn't pine for me. That was reasurring so when we were all out of the house for about 2 to 3 hours she didn't chew anything or touch anything. We have purposely left a rubber dog chew for her but she doesn't bother with that either. She is very excitable when we return and she does run around a bit but we just ignore her(for two mins - not been mean or anything) and she soon calms down and just wags her tail then we give her a pat or two and she is just lovely and its great to see her again. My son is really good and fusses her so much that I think she is getting loved (not spoilt - we say loved!) she is absolutely beautiful.
Looking forward to any of your comments and thank you again x
