Dog Ramps.
Our two are now over 11 Years old. Whilst the front paws can reach the back bumper of the car, the spring is not there in the back legs anymore. The back end now has to be lifted in.
Does anyone have any recommendations for dog ramps and /or experience of them.
No back support or truss jokes please !!!!

Haven't used one ourselves, but they do seem a good idea. I know of people that have got them, and think they are good. Although someone else got one, and NO WAY would their dog use it. Might be an idea to try one first, then see if J & C will take to using one.
Have a look on the net. You might well pick it up cheaper.

All you need now is someone who is good at DIY

Re: Dog Ramps.
We bought one of these recently as we have a new car and its very high at the back.
Amber is a very sensitive soul and I wasn't sure she'd use it but she has...runs up it like a good un she does...mind you if theres a walk at the end of it she'll do anything.
The trick is to get them walking round a bit then take a run at it...if that makes sense?
We got it from E-Bay...was quite cheap really by comparision to most...here's a link

Re: Dog Ramps.
Pleased to hear you have got sorted with a ramp. We have one which was donated to Rescue but it is out at the moment. I think the trick is to let them get used to it by walking on it on the flat then slopeing ( is that a word ?) it gradually.
Re: Dog Ramps.
Top tip from 'him in doors'...add a little bit of carpet to the bottom then it won't slip/move...
Let us know how you get on with it?

Re: Dog Ramps.
The ramp arrived today. It came after the afternoon walk.
Anyway after a couple of transits on the flat, Candy with her lead on got into the back of the car via the ramp. She is a game little thing and will try anything. Big Jazz, who having had his walk did not want to be disturbed as he was catching up on a few zzzz's.

Re: Dog Ramps.
You have done well with your two. No problems at all. You must give them loads of confidence that's all I can say. It will be so much easier for them and you as well.
