My word..... Didn't those two enjoy that run on the beach. Lovely to watch, although I think there must be a problem with my screen as it kept stopping for ages , but still enjoyed it.

Nothing wrong with your screen. It's downloading from Vimeo at a slow rate. If you can work out how to pause it untill it's fully downloaded, should be watchable then.janrobinson wrote:My word..... Have just uploaded it onto youtube. May be ok on that

I have watched it properly this time and got the tissues out again. They are both so happy and Woody, bless him. after being such a bewildered worried young man Just look at him now.
The place looks lovely and peaceful.

Nice pics and video as usual, you seem to have had the place to yourselves, and the dogs loved the beach, great to see them having such a good time together. Was the music used in the old Robinson Crusoe many years ago , seemed appropriate for a beach scene.

What a lovely peaceful place... I understand why Jan needs the tissues... knowing that 'her dogs' have wonderful homes.

Theme from a summer place by Percy Faith.lenny wrote:Nice pics and video as usual, you seem to have had the place to yourselves, and the dogs loved the beach, great to see them having such a good time together. Andy Williams does a vocal version
Theme From A Summer Place.
There's a summer place
Where it may rain or storm
Yet I'm safe and warm
For within that summer place
Your arms reach out to me
And my heart is free from all care
For it knows
There are no gloomy skies
When seen through the eyes
Of those who are blessed with love

and so on

Have finally managed to see it, and it's a lovely film.
The beaches are wonderful up there, no restrictions, the dogs have the freedom to run to their hearts content.
Lovely chocolate box village too

Excellent video - thank you!
I worked out why I missed you too. We walk and run and swim in the South Bay just below our house and you were in a different bay. Oh well, Maybe next time.
Thanks again.

Re: Woody and Willow on September holiday
We thought that the restrictions were still on at South Bay, so always took them to the North end. Plus, it was so easy to park up, then onto the beach. Afterwards, a cuppa at the beach cafe. Oh what a life, it were fair grand.
Must add that we walked down to the South, what a shock. Dog restricted beach, it was absolutely grotty, wouldn't have wanted the dogs on there to be honest. A human only section was strewn with every type of litter you could imagine. The dog beach up North was spotless, with owners on poo duties. Now who is it that makes the mess???? There, my rant over Went over to Filey one day, that was nice. Only the dog people walking, it was another lovely day. Once again met Goldies out for a jaunt.
We did have a funny "do" up at North Bay one day. Willow went racing across the sand to the sea, there was a Greyhound with it's owner walking along. Willow running set it off, and chased her snapping and growling. Well, you can imagine, 1 little Goldie against that. Now this was where the lad came into his own, no way was he having that. Straight out to it, barged it's shoulder and gave it a right earful Greyhound duly sent packing. Wow, does he look after his girl, really proud of him Woody really adores Willow, won't stand any nonsense where she is concerned. Amazing how they have taken so well to each other, you would think they had always had each other as friends. 2 absolute treasures.
Golly, keep adding bits to my post. The village that we stayed in is just beautiful, as Jan says, a chocolate box. The villagers were all so nice to us. We kept meeting up with people on a daily basis, they just helped make our break so nice. Come to see our place, and come to see the Church flower Festival. Wow, so laid back living. No street lights, no graffiti, no rubbish. We felt as though we were in a different world. Can understand why Dougal and Daisies Mum spends the whole season there.
Just another observation to add. The Parks Dept. in Scarborough deserve a medal. All the gardens and flower displays were fabulous even though the end of the season. Well Done to them.

Re: Woody and Willow on September holiday
Well done Woody what good friends they have become.
Re: Woody and Willow on September holiday
South Bay in the season can be a bit messy after the tourists have been there, it's true. Having said that, the council do a great job coming by and cleaning the sands off every evening. That's why we go to the beach later rather than earlier. When the tide's out in the late evening, the whole place is pristine and it has a huge selection of rock pools to plop into and explore. We live almost directly above the spa so it suits us perfectly. If ever anyone does want to go on the South side, best go at a lower tide time.
The restrictions are now lifted in the South Bay. From October 1st to the end of May it's access all areas.
And I absolutely understand about the greyhounds around these parts. They are often a bit on the anti-social side. Glad you had Woody the Wonderdog to sort it all out.
