Funday 2009

Post by lynn wise »

Hi everyone.
Hope you all enjoyed yourselves today, we certainly did. It was lovely meeting our friends again and seeing the dogs en masse.

Let's hope we made lots of money for Rescue, seeing all those dogs puts it into perspective, a truly wonderful and worthwhile organisation.

Everyone I spoke to loved their dog or dogs so very much, it really gladdens the heart to know there are such wonderful people about. Well done all you lovely people, it goes some distance to restoring faith in human nature.

Even the lousy weather didn't put too much of a dampener on things, to be honest, after a while I didn't notice the drizzle.

Take care all....Lynn

MEMORIES.
Our dad came home and loaded up the car and said
we were going on a trip that wasn't that far
so off went it was pouring with rain
this summers been a washout, its been such a pain.
Just as dad was trying to park
a familiar sound, it was definitely a bark.
I looked out of the window and couldnt believe my eyes
so many retrievers now that's a surprise,
there were some that were young and some that were old
white ones a black one sandys and gold.
we decided to have a look in the hall,
many more goldies having a ball.
we saw auntie Jan all filled with pride
to see all these special goldies by her side.

:2035: Hi everyone,

What a wonderful day we had on Saturday, it just gets better every year. Meeting everyone again and seeing all their lovely goldens, so treasured, so cared for, a privilege to be there.

The photo's are super, best ever I think. Don't know who had the biggest smiles, mums and dads, or their Goldens.

Thank you Jan, and your wonderful team :love4

MEMORIES (VERSE 2)
We went out side to play in the mud
I said to M these fun days are good,
we were patted and stroked and given a kiss,
these fun days are great you dont want to miss
to every one who helped Jan to make our day,
we love you all we have to say.
to all those we met and dad chatted to,
we also say a special thank you.
and as my eyes close wiereily, and I go to sleep
the memories of today we will treasure and keep.

Great to meet everyone in person after so many contacts on the web site. Despite the weather being not so good, well it did not rain too much, it was a great day out.

MEMORIES(verse3)
I woke up this morning, and with tongue in cheek,
said to dad fun day was great can we go next week.
he said we couldnt but have no fear,
we will go again, but it will be next year
and to make next year special and even more fun ,
we will all go together, dogs, dad and mum.
But to raise money for the rescue we must remember,
so we can help any new friends before next september.

Its my first time typing its not easy to do,
dad helped me at spelling as Im not even two
the keys on the laptop are to small for my paws
so im trying my best just using my claws.
I hope you believe me Lynn its definitely true
my dad said dont tell lies especially to you.
I onced asked dad why does he not look like me
he said he once told a lie when he was three.
please Lynn at this do not scoff
it made his fur fall out and his tail drop off. :1960
