As this years FD is rapidly approaching, and the penny tin in my kitchen is getting full ready for the tombola spend..... I linger back to my favourite memory from last years funday ...... the squeal of a lady!
So there we all were soaking up the wonderful en masse picture of happy Goldens, when a squeal rang out from the seating area just outside the hall. (For those that were there, the seats were arranged in a row down the path to the hall door.) One seated lovely lady, had for a brief moment looked away from the cake on her plate ................... to then have it stolen by some random Goldie who was just passing at the time! Wonderful! The adorable thief didnt miss a step!
Would love to hear your favourite funday 'tails'........

Re: Favourite memories from the Fundays?
I think for me, it would be after last years show ring doings. A number of dogs were allowed off lead onto the field, not a cross word as they all played and frollicked. Now remember that the field resembled something more like a swamp. Well, they all had the most wonderful time, came back to their owners smiling and grinning, and covered in mud. But oh, how they had enjoyed themselves, true Goldie heaven.
As for the lady with the cake
We have all been down that route I'm sure. Never ones' to miss a freebie at a picnic these Goldens.

Re: Favourite memories from the Fundays?
For me there have been many, but two in particular spring to mind.
Our first Funday, we had beautiful weather, everyone on the field, making new friends, entering competitions, browsing the stalls, and of course enjoying the many Goldens.
Towards the end of the day was the competition.......The Best Six Legs. We were sat with a couple whose dog could only walk on three legs and held the fourth one close to his shoulder.
Undaunted, they walked onto the field, Golden with three legs, mum with two and dad standing on one leg...............they won, to rapturous applause
Our second Funday was very wet, with everyone and their dogs packed into the church hall. I have never seen so many dogs in one place....a sea of Goldens. The air was filled with the perfume of..Eau de Wet Dog..everyone enjoying the day, despite the weather

So lovely, and the weather looked great. Have just seen on the computer when I logged on, SUMMER IS OVER. Wind and rain forcast......Looks like a wellie job on Saturday.
Never mind, we're a tough breed, and no doubt the dogs couldn't care less.

Hi Holly's Dad
Goodness me!! it doesn't seem four years ago. That was our first Funday and we had only had Ella for 8 months. and yes, that is the lovely Max. I remember him well.
That's a lovely picture of him.
Hope it's going to be fine, but if not , as Lynn say's, we are a tough lot.
Hope to see you there
