Mushrooms....

Hi all

Coming home from shopping today, walked into the kitchen, no sign of Ella, just an empty bag in the middle of the floor. We called her and in she came looking very guilty.
We discovered that she'd eaten a full bag of mushrooms, 12 or 14 in all. Ella loves salad, but that was ridiculous. So,on the phone to the vet. Luckily, as she's a large dog, she can cope with them. Had they been grapes or anything with a large amount of pip's, or had she been a small dog, the vet said she could have had problems, so we breathed a sigh of relief. It's unlike her to take anything, she's only ever done it once before.

Needless to say, she didn't want her tea. I don't think she had mush....room left

glad to hear Ella is O.K. Little tinker, hope they were'nt for tea.
It makes you wonder what the attraction is to some of the things
they pinch, no rythme or reason, is there.

You do wonder sometimes why they eat certain things. They must have gone down a treat. If Ella is anything like mine they would not have touched the sides. But mushrooms don't smell that good not like a tin of Quality Street or maybe they did to Ella.

Bonnie , she who never does anything wrong, has been a naughty girl this week.

She has had tummy ache and the squits so blamed it on the dog food I put out for the birds. They love the cheap stuff soaked and they spread it all about and Bonnie sits under the table waiting for the bits. Anyway I moved the table to a place that the birds could get to but not Bonnie. No difference.

A few days ago a lady had brought me a bag of food so I left it in the hall to take up to the kennels. On further inspection of the bag I found a large hole at the back made by madam and loads had gone out of it. Problem solved. A bit like my sons who used to open a box of chocolates and eat the bottom layer so I wouldn't notice any had gone at first.

I think Ella must have had tummy ache last night, she'd left us a couple of 'deposits' on the kitchen floor this morning. One thing she's never done is ask to go out during the night, so if she's ill in the night we don't know till morning

The one with the chocolates is an old one. I can remember doing that myself, only I ate some from the top layer and refilled it from the bottom, and swore blind that they must have come from the shop like that

Don't think there's a lot to choose between children and dogs when it comes to being sneaky

Can't stay mad at them for long though can we?

Willow as taught Woody to examine the garden beneath the bird table. When they go out first thing, it's who can get there first. There just MIGHT be some bread, do they get fed here????? Having just shared our bacon butties, they are straight out to rummage.

Ohh dear whats Ella like lol... I think they are so funny at time the things they do.
Luckily neither of our still things off the sides, Troy used to open lockets suck the and then spit them out
May be he had a sore throat...
