Thanks for your nice comments, all Goldens are easy to photograph though the mud never looks as black as it really is. Unabashed Benjie, seeks mud quite deliberately and can find it in the driest of weather. Luckily there are many clear streams and rivers and all walks end with a ten minute "water session" so they arrive home clean, if a bit wet.
The Bedlington, Georgie, is a rescue we found for my mother in law, he now lives in Surrey, but has not lost his Lancashire accent! he spent some time with us when she and my wife went on holiday (The thought of them in kennels would spoil any holiday for me).
It`s true what you say about music and emotions, but for all that I am thankful that bagpipes don`t make a smell!
