Red letter day

Post by lynn wise »

Today, Willow as been with us for a year. My how the time's flown.A truly wonderful little girlie, not a cross word for man nor beast. Willow came to us out of the blue, chance conversations with people we met on our travels that told us they had got their dogs from Jan. The rest as they say is history.
No way could we imagine not having her, I always wanted a kissy dog, and boy have we got one! Everyone gets the Willow treatment if she can get near their ears
She still steals given the chance, this week it's been a nectarine and a wholemeal baton. Bread rolls hold a tempting fascination, will try her best to reach them if left out to defrost. We also have no labels or canes left in the garden, talk about whip it quick.
Thank you Jan, xxx

Crikey where has that year gone. A very different little girl to the one you took to your heart 12 months ago. Thank you for giving her such a wonderful new life.

Snowy is the same a very loving dog , He cannot sit beside you it has to be on you and kisses you on the side of your face or ear, but no way if you had Snowy could your garden be as nice as it is , he is slowly eating ours. Well I was never that keen on gardening anyhow.

Well, another red letter day.
Little Flossie Fan-ac-a-pan, has been with us 2 years tomorrow.
My how that's flown. Our little sweetie just gets more girlie as time
goes by. An absolute joy to have around.

Thanks again to Jan for allowing this little girl to come into our lives.

Two years I can't believe it. It is a long time since I heard anyone say Fan-aca-pan. Must be a Yorkshire saying. :love4

Have a lovely day tomorrow Willow :2081:

Time goes by so quickly nowadays, and when they settle well, they seem to have always been with us, don't they?

Mrs Fan-ac-a-pan.......that brought back memories, something my Dad used to say when he couldn't remember someones name :2074:

Hi Sonia,
That was Timmy under the bench, forever the cave man. He always made for somewhere to get under. That was his favourite spot in the garden, would also go under the table in the kitchen, woe betide anyone trying to remove him :2007: Right from being a pup', he liked to hide under the furniture, had many a scrape as he got older trying to get under chairs.
Pleased to hear about Ella, she sounds to be well settled in now. Isn't it lovely to look back and see the difference in them. makes it all worth while. My only wish is that all dogs had the level of love and kindness that these rescue dogs have, but that is just a dream. Especially after reading poor little Poppys story.

Well, today is Little Willows 3rd birthday. No evidence of her "growing up" yet. Willow gets sweeter by the day, just an absolute treasure. Bought her a new ball yesterday for her birthday, shouldn't have bothered, it is already confined to the bin :2005: Shredded in quick sticks. Never mind, the washing is about, so I guess she will help herself to yet another pair of dads socks!!
