New Best Friend
Here are some photos of Willows new best friend. This is Luca a BSH silver tabby that lives next door, or supposed to.!!
Willow loves him to bits, every time she goes into the garden she goes to the fence and waits for him to come over.
Saturday we were out in the garden and David popped in for something, " don't know where Willow will sleep tonight", there was Luca fast asleep in her bed. We don't want him in the house as he lives next door and mustn't confuse him. So far no one as explained to him that he doesn't live here, can't quite figure out how to teach him
Willow is beside herself with the cat, goes into raptures when he rubs chins, to see them play together is lovely. Last week we had the ball routine, she dropped the ball in front of him then he whacked it back, Willow then picked it up again and dropped it down, this went on quite a while which was entertaining for us too.
Funnily, Woody that doesn't appear too keen on cats tolerates him so well, lets him do chin rubs and under tummy walking. Brilliant.

Re: New Best Friend
Just love the picture of all three of them. Luca looks quite at home in Willow's bed.

Re: New Best Friend
Isn't Willow just so gentle with Lucca, she never touches him even when she is spinning round. What a lovely film

Re: New Best Friend
On a sad note, Luca was killed on the road at the back of us just after the post. Willow still looking for him at the back fence which has been very sad for us all.

Re: New Best Friend
Oh dear that is so sad but happens so often. If I had a cat I think it would have to go out on a lead with the dog's couldn't cope with not knowing where it was. Willow will be wondering where he is.
Re: New Best Friend
So sorry to hear about Luca, our cats have always been house cats. I, like Jan, could never cope with knowing where and how they were. We would not leave out dogs out alone and neither should our cats because they do not stand a chance with the traffic on these busy roads. One of the neighbours up the street has been looking for a cat today which has been coming to feed at our door for months now. It has an eye ulcer and is on antibiotic treatment by the PDSA at moment but managed to sneak out of the house. Trouble is when they are used to going out it is difficult to keep them in. I am now on watch and will take her back to owners if she appears. Lesley and Steve

What great photos and video. So sorry to read the cat had been run over. Katie is the complete opposite with cats,
if one comes anywhere near her property she chases it vociferously.

Lovely photographs of Willow and Woody...but that is so sad for Luca and poor Willow and Woody.
Tigger our tabby cat was there first, so was accepted by Gemma, (Mum's first golden) I don't know how he lived to be 19, Jade (daughter of Gemma) used to chase the living daylights out of him, so did my Ceili.
Ceili, Abby and Ginnie, were all bluster and bark. nothing allowed in 'their' garden.
Cobi is so different she doesn't bark or make any noise, anything is allowed into her 'space', whether it be our garden or around our caravan.....then she stalks.... only last week she raced into and though the conifers, then came strutting down the field, tail up in the air and a pigeon in her mouth, so pleased that she had brought us a present.
