Today Katie is twelve and tomorrow is the third anniversary of coming to us from Jan. We have nearly got to grips with Cushing's disease , though she has another blood test next week , always stressfull going to the Vets !!!
Some photos of her morning dip and walk.
What lovely pictures and she looks such a happy lady. It is stressful going to the vets Sonny gets in such a state that I now have to have the vet out each time just for check ups for his tablets.
Happy forever home day dear Katie and Happy Birthday too
The Vet visit as expected was traumatic. Arrived at the Vets opened back door of car and put ramp in place for Katie to get out. Katie comes to top of ramp and sniffs the air, the look on her face was one of suspicion.
We coax her down the ramp, she the sets off running past the entrance to the Vets with Pat in tow.
We manage to bring her back to the Surgery door then she lies down spread eagled at entrance and refuses to move.
Eventually the Vet ( Who is a large farm animal Vet ) carried her in.
Two and a half hours later after her blood tests we collect her. Leg and neck shaved for sample.
The good news is the medication is now working and if all is well she will not have to go back for 4 months for more tests.
The other plus is that she has lost 5 kg in weight.

Great news, hopefully got the meds just right for her, you must be relieved at that result.
OOOh, what a tinker, good job big burly vet on hand to do the lifting.
