Does anyone else watch Gardeners World? Lastnight there was Monty doing his bit with his lovely Golden boy helping. I assume he was helping as he was trotting around with his tail wagging and a smile on his face. Can't think of anything more like heaven, in the garden with a Golden for company.
Although at present, our plot resembles something more akin to a lake!!!

Oh missed that, yes nothing nicer than having your Golden help you with the garden.Paddy is exceptionally good at digging, and placing his ball on the mower when you are trying to mow the garden...

Re: Montys' Boy
David enjoys the company of Sam when he is gardening. Sam just lies on the lawn and watching him, wearing a look of undisguised admiration!! I don't even get that when I am baking!!
Sam is so good, no fences or anything, and he never runs off! He even watches next door's cats stroll by,
apparently quite confident that Sam is not going to chase them.
David's thumb is doing O.K. I went to hospital with him again yesterday, and it was dressed again, complete with splint, but there is still a gaping hole right on the knuckle, hence the splint. It is a long job, but getting there!.
Best wishes to all - Samsmum (Joyce).

Re: Montys' Boy
I love gardeners world and I always hope to see Montys boy. He is gorgeous I'm talking about the golden retriever. There's also a picture in Novembers gardeners world magazine,he is such a beautiful colour. The other week Monty told him to go and get an apple and off he trotted to get one. He didn't bring it back. As if!!! He is a beauty. I just love when he appears trotting along tail going all the time. Very handsome.

Did anyone see Nigel tonight on Gardeners world? There was some lovely footage at the end of the show, a grand lad helping his Dad with the potato testing.

Hello Lynn!
Yes, David and I saw Monty with his Golden. Wasn't he a lovely boy, and enjoyed his potatoes too.
The fact that Goldens feature, however briefly, in so many adverts, etc., is testimony to what lovely reliable family dogs they are.
David and I were walking up the precinct in Marple this morning with Sam, when a lady came up and said "What a handsome dog". I was filled with pride on behalf of all Golden owners!!
Best wishes - Joyce.

Hi Lynn, I always hope that Nigel will be featured everytime. Isn't he a beauty so well behaved. Loved the potato testing he is very patient waiting on his potato. Gordon and I were just sat there and i said I are you crying too. Katie would have been right in there staring sat right in front of you waiting for her share. I said to Gordon should we get another one??? Watch this space. We do miss Katie ever so much.
