He did it again!! The only muddy puddle on this otherwise bone dry path and he found it when my back was turned.
He had a proper wallow this morning!
This time i've got evidence!!

I think I prefer it when it's raining, at least he gets a shower on the way home. Today was another bath. I think he liked it. He wouldn't get out of it, anyway.
It certainly was a big, muddy, stinky puddle. He enjoyed that but not so much the bath. He was so dirty I ran out of shampoo and hot water, that's why he's still a murky grey. Yuk!
I didn't enjoy the bath much either, I had to climb in with him and after 20 minuted bending over washing him I couldn't stand up.
The trick when we're out walking is not to take my eyes off him or the path we're on for a single second and distract him till he's past any tempting puddles. That's my plan and it usually works but I was distracted by a particularly cute border terrier this morning.
Hope you told him what a beautiful boy he is when you had bathed him,sorry to say you have a lot more bath times to come. What a lucky boy, hope we can meet him on funday, he would have loved last years it poured down most of it. Plenty of mud for him.
I have a cunning plan for a downstairs shower enclosure when we move house. That will be a lot easier than trying to lift him in and out the bath.
Anyone want to buy a farm?
At the moment the diary has got nothing but 'Fun Day' in it on that date. I'm trying my best to keep it that way. Rain or not - it'll be lovely to meet you all.

Black, muddy or whatever, Bentley is a showstopper!
Maybe the wallowing brings him added attention and perhaps that is what he wants! He certainly gets it anyway. I bet he thinks it is his birthday everytime he finds a "wallowing" spot in the lane, best thing is though - he is happy and greatly loved!

Every day seems to be a birthday for Bentley at the moment, wallowing spots everywhere! The West Pennine Moors were ringing with the sound of my voice shouting NNNNNOOOOOOOOO!! this morning when he found this one.
Mind you after the lovely welcome I got from him when I came in from my customary Wednesday two hour yomp this evening I could forgive him anything.
Oh Lesley I could fill a whole calendar with your grubby little 'treevie' ....I use large (bath towel size) micro fibre towels on Cobi (dark blue) they dry very quickly.... just as well as she had a swim last night at 8.30pm !!!!
can you send these photographs without the 'watermark' please?
we've called all our dogs Pepe le Pew (or Phew) not for grubby reasons..... smelly reasons !!!
