Retriever Rescue

Yesterday we took Sam to the Vet for his annual booster. We were asked into the surgery by a young, enthusiastic lady vet, and she extended her hand to Sam who growled quite ferociously. She didn't back off, but said dogs did that when they smelled the disinfectant as most vets used the same one. She produced some treats and offered them to Sam who sniffed them and turned away. I told her his mum had told him never to accept treats from strangers, which produced a hoot of laughter, and after that he was O.K.
When he cut his lip when we were on holiday, and the young lady vet hacked a lump of his bottom lip off, he never bothered. But then, the young lady vet was tall, blonde and very pretty!!
Was he trying to tell us something?

Now, as for you Lenny, NAUGHTY BOY.

We have been seeing a lady vet,(she is also a blonde Lenny) at a smaller practice of the main vet. hospital, Ginnie seems a lot more relaxed there, Cobi likes to see everybody and struts in with 'attitude' (she didn't even hold a grudge when our usual male vet (who has now sadly moved out of the area) pulled one of her back toenails out with forceps after she had broken it and it was hanging, she just gave him Cobi kisses....if you get too close to Cobi and you are talking, you are going to get your tonsils washed)

Guess what, our vets a blonde called Rachael, shes very nice but more importantly,she makes a big fuss of Snowy. He loves to go in,and we have had to go in quite alot recently.(Not for me for Snowy) HONEST. .
