Good Timing - Squeak squeak!!

				Hello friends,
Yesterday I bought a new toy for Sam - a barrell-shaped rubber toy, with small "spikes" round it, and a squeaker at one end. It is quite hard to press to make it squeak, but Sam loves it - I think he thinks it is talking to him.
However - his timing is superb - every time the phone rings and I answer it, he stands close to me, making the darn thing squeak loudly, and no matter how I try to dodge him, he follows me, and it is the one thing he does not surrender easily!
Not long after we got Sam, I was talking to Jan on the walk-about phone, and there were funny noises, and there was Sam trying to pick up the main phone - he obviously wanted a three-way conversation. It was quite funny. He eventually stopped trying to answer the phone.
I am pleased, however, that he loves his toy so much, but I can see that I shall soon be locking myself in the loo to talk on the phone!!
Best wishes to you all - Samsmum (Joyce).
