I thought you all might like to see a typical afternoon for Molly. It was a tiny bit overcast today but that doesn't seem to affect the fun and games.

First we walk to the beach. Then we RUN!



Then we RUN!



Then we plonk in the sea.



Then we RUN!



Then we say hello to Max and he laughs at the size of my feet - cheeky little runt.



Then I chase cheeky Max and we run too fast for mum to get a picture - Hee!

Then I run again much more elegantly this time.



And again.



Then we head home. But on the way I flop into puddles a few times just to cool off.



Then we take the cliff lift up to the house again. I get towelled and blow dried then I go to sleep on the sofa while mum works on the computer.



I dream about the beach and we do it all again tomorrow.

And Molly, you have lovely feet. Max is just jealous........bet you can swim faster than him anyway

Molly certainly loves the beach, that's for sure. She definitely thinks she owns it. And the sea too. It's like her large front garden.

In fact it's now coming up to 2:00 and she's just come to remind me it's time to go for a run. You should see her. She has her chin right on the corner of the laptop - just so I don't forget my priorities. Sadly time and tide wait for no dog so she'll have to wait a while till the tide goes out a bit.

Last week we did have the beach practically to ourselves. But this week is half term and she had Max (in the pictures), a cairn, a staffie, a border collie and two labs yesterday. If a dog has a tennis ball, she's right in there. She won't touch the ball but she just loves to chase the dog chasing its ball.

The other new discovery this week was that she is terribly intuitive and sensitive to disabled dogs! Usually, she runs into doggy friends like a steam train. Oh, she's polite enough in meetings - very balanced and non-threatening and all that. But as soon as she decides to play, it's gloves off and full steam ahead with the rough and tumble.

Then on Monday we met a little cairn terrier with a paralyzed back end. She made her usual approach....sniff, sniff....waggy tail etc.. then she started trotting gently around chased by half a cairn. When the poor thing got tired, she sat and waited for him then they tottered off for another round. The cairn's owners were amazed and thrilled. I think they have brought the poor thing for a last holiday before they have to make a hard decision about his future. The lady was very weepy. But very grateful to have found him an understanding doggy friend for a little while at least.

Molly's just too perfect. I know I'm biased, but I'm allowed to be. I'm in love!

Know what you mean about dogs being sensitive towards others less fortuneate than themselves, my two also know what 'gently... and big kisses' mean when meeting other dogs that can be slightly confrontational or frightened by bigger dogs.

But it's no holds barred when they play and 'bash each other' nostrils flared, wrinkled noses, big white teeth, all the better to bite you with.....
