A canine health test petition

At the moment VAT is charged on canine hip scoring, elbow scoring and eye testing. In an effort to encourage more breeders to health test their breeding stock I have launched a petition on the Prime Minister’s website asking him to remove (Zero rate) VAT on the Canine health schemes. This could reduce the cost of health testing by quite a fair amount to all of us.
If anyone feels like supporting this petition you can read and sign it here:-

I think it was always going to go that way. But it shows that for all the government's play at wanting the health of pedigree dogs improved (Bateson Report) that as usual they want someone else to pay the bill. It's good that they have a little man in Europe who they can blame, but for those of us old enough to remember what Ted Heath told us about it being just a "Common Market" I have to ask, "Did he lie to us?"

Think you answered your own question on that one John. Fast coming to the conclusion they are all tarred with the same brush.

That is unless it's something they want and can pull the wool over our eyes...they think.
