I too hope he is found soon. I would imagine someone has just picked him up thinking he was on his own and lost. He is probably being pampered as we speak. I hope this is so. Poor old boy he will be so bewildered . If this site can help in any way we will be only too pleased to do so.

We all hope that Sam is found safe and well as quickly as possible, especially now the 'silly firework season is well and truly underway'.

Sam is still missing. Somebody saw him walking on his own last Tuesday. Didnt think to pick him up but notified a vet.

He must be so cold and hungry now. It breaks my heart thinking about him.

Sam looks a lovely boy. I have been hoping he'd returned home.
His family must be beside themselves with worry, how awful for them.
I can't imagine anything worse. Especially with his age and the winter weather. Let's hope there will be good news soon.

Keep us posted Barbara.

Thanks for all your messages. I'll keep everyone posted.

His owners live in the Midlands. They were on holiday in Wales when he went missing.

Lots of people on the DogLost site are trying to help them. I've sent posters to rescues, vets, ManyTears site and anywhere else I can think of. I'm running out of ideas.

I've a few oldies myself and the thought of this old boy being cold and hungry is keeping me awake at night.

I have sent as many posters and flyers to vets as I can but I dont know the area at all.

I have 'googled' where his owner was walking him and its near Port Eynon, Gower.

His owner lives in the Midlands and says she works long hours and can only phone up vets, rescue centres etc.

I know if it was one of mine, I would be in the area, searching but I suppose I shouldnt judge other people's actions.

Hi Barbara

Might it be worth contacting the local radio stations and asking them if they would put out some announcements over an agreed period of time.

The local TV station might agree to run a story at the end of their usual news bulletin.

Also are there any free papers that are printed weekly and distributed to every household in the area or a sympathetic newsreporter from a local paper might help.

Have you also tried the local libraries to see if they have a list of local organisations who could spread the word (Lions, Rotary, Round Table, Soroptomists, Church groups etc)?

Here's to finding Sam.

Best wishes

Nikki
