Hello,My name is Reuben and I have come to live with Terry & Cath.they have been very nice and kind to me,just like Jan was, butJan says I must be a good Boy and Look after Terry & Cath like their Mac used to do and they will look after me>I have anice big garden to play in and We have been playing already having lots of fun,I haven't eaten much yet as I am still a bit stressed and excited Terry has given me some biscuits, the house is nice as well and I can roam around anywhere if i want. But those stairs I am not to keen on them In fact I do not even want to go up,I think it was my last house either I was not allowed or there were no stairs.
Anyway I am going to sleep now as I have had a very busy day.
            Good Night Everbody.

				Hello Reuben, and welcome.
I love your name, it's one of my favourites. It's so good to know that you have found a loving home with Terry and Cath and I'm sure you'll settle well and be very happy with them. When you feel ready, please put some photo's on if you can, so that we can all admire you. By the way, you didn't say how old you are.
Big hug

Hi all Just an update on REUBEN.Wehave been backto the vets to day for his vaccs, the first time we wnt to the vets he was barking a lot even the vet came out and of course because ReubenIs so Cuddly he the vet got in his knees to speak to Reuben(Bad mistake)I had to tell the vet off which i quite enjoyed,he even agreed I was right (Pity he could not have told my wife)Anyway this time it was a bit better weall just ignored him,it seemed to work.Reuben has also lost 2.5 kgs which is very good as he was a bit overweight 37.5 kgs, obviously the exercise he is getting is paying off ideally I would like him about 28kgs.When we get to know each other better we will probably go to training Its just over the raod from were we live.I did have a spot of bother when walking as he would just squat and now I always walk him on the outside ane he now does both in the gutter and |I still carry the bags aroun to clear the mess. All in All He has been a joy to welcome to the household, and it is quite obvious he has been a credit to his previous owner, and we are very lucky to have found such a lovely dog,our thanks go out once again to Jan.
See You all Terry and REUBEN

				Hi Terry, Cath and Reuben,
It's good to hear that everything's going well for you all.
It sounds as though he's near a perfect weight now too. Ella puts weight on very easily, so we have to watch her diet. She's usually between 28-30kgs.
I'm sure he will be a credit to you too, he sounds a lovely boy

We are all pleased to hear about Reuben... Any photographs soon please?
Cobi has a tendency to put weight on a lot more easily than Ginnie. Ginnie couldn't get up our stairs when she came from Jan, she didn't have many muscles in her back legs, she soon got them after a few months with us! She must be one of the strongest female dogs I've ever known, I can't remember who else said it about another female retriever on this website, but Ginnie could pull for England! Her weight hardly moves either 28 or 29 kg and she is a very tall female.
They both have the 'stroppy sulks' since we came home from holiday, and just look at me when I call them, 'you talking to me?' so the word NOW is having to be used again... They will not win!

Well Reuben - aren't you a lucky boy!!! Well done Terry and Cath on your new addition to your family. Both Bob and I spoke with you Terry at the fun day, and both appreciated how upset you were at losing your lad Mac. It's a big decision to let another bundle of fluff into your life, but it is well worth it. Hope you all have a very happy life together, and hopefully we'll all get to meet Reuben at the fun day next year.
