While we were caravanning Cobi has got into the stupid habit of snapping at anything in a 'striped jersey' the first wasp died after being bitten and she spat it out, a couple of days later the second one stung her on the tongue.... we gave her an ice cube to start with and then a quick call to our vets back home for advice, vinegar for a wasp sting and bicarbonate for a bee sting... was the answer, I couldn't see her sitting still for me to dab her tongue with vinegar, so a small bowl of rainbow trout (that hubby had caught and cooked the day before) was liberally sprinkled with vinegar, and that sorted the sting and the swelling on the tongue.
She hasn't learnt her lesson though, you can see her lock onto them 'bbbbb' and it's dead, luckily most of them have been flies.
