Goodbye Blossom

We are sad to tell you that dear old Blossom was put to sleep this morning, at the grand old age of 17 years and 16 days.
Her mobility, sight, hearing and co-ordination were becoming increasingly of concern in recent months, and her toilet habits were not as they should have been. After much thought, and to prevent her being in pain or discomfort, we reluctantly took the decision to have her put to sleep this morning. She laid with us on the sofa as we stroked her until almost asleep then the vet did her work. Blossom showed no signs of distress and slipped away peacefully.
She was loved by family, friends and villagers and she will leave a huge gap in all our lives.
We got her from you in January 2004 and has been an absolute delight ever since. We were also fortunate that Blossom never suffered from any major illnesses or injuries.
Thank you Retriever Rescue for giving us this wonderful pet.
