Having been shopping this morning, I got bread rolls out of the freezer to make a quick sandwich for our lunch. Left them at the back of the work top to defrost. Came to sarny making time, I thought I had lost it (again) searched the kitchen to see where I had put them to no avail. On turning round there was little rat bag looking awfully sheepish, " who did it" pointing at the empty space. Willow shot into the bed with her face looking at the wall. Out she came, " bed" says I. Both dogs jumped into her bed looking so apologetic. Poor Woody, he hadn't done anything, but he knew she had. A quick dive into the freezer and microwave later we had our lunch, needless to say, she didn't get a taste (
her, not us )

In town this morning, called at the bakery for teacakes (not for her ladyship I may add )The girls were cooing away at the dogs, a lady came out of the back area and joined in.
Lady.. I have a Golden, he's 12.
Me...Woody is nearly 11 and Willow 8
Lady... but mines a rescue.
Me... so are these.
Lady... Are they from Mrs. Robinson?
Me...yes they are
Whereupon we both recounted our stories. What a small world, Jans fame is legendary, doesn't matter where you go, someone knows her. A STAR in my book

I think it was Cobie and Ginnies Mum who on this web site posted the immortal words . " We would go without food ourselves in order that they can eat".
