Lynn: He'd just seen a fish jump and was contemplating going in after it. I'm so glad he didn't, I wouldn't fancy a group of angry fishermen shouting at me! :2012:

He's growing like a weed, Jan. :love5 Even I can see changes in him almost daily. We've cracked the barking issue - and without the use of sprays, aerosols or anything other than just plain ignoring it. Same with the jumping up. He'll still eat wood if he gets a chance but he doesn't really get a chance as I'm on his case with a stern "Leave it!" as soon as he picks it up.

Patience and repetition is all it took.

Well - who knew I had the patience of Job? I certainly didn't! I'm certainly more patient with him than I ever was with my kids :1968

Thanks for your nice comments, everyone.

Hello Lesley!
What a lovely boy! So glad you are happily settled together, and he is getting his act together now.
I know you are going to have many years of enjoyment.
Best wishes - Joyce. :1942:

Bentley is growing up beautifully.... he is lovely and it's great to have loads of photographs of his different stages from puppyhood....first the legs grow and you think that they are never going to stop... and then they look a bit gangly with a 'ringlet' tail.... they have ears like elephants... and their paws are enormous.
I just wish we had been 'digital' all those years ago, goodness knows how much money we spent as we tossed another toilet roll into the middle of the lounge whilst taking hundreds of photographs of our dogs and then having to have the numerous films developed and probably only one photographs was good out of 36 !!
In the late 80's my hubby was walking a young Ceili along the canal towpath and started talking to a fisherman, Ceili ignored the water and was mooching around, on the walk way back she suddently stopped and saw his float dip.......whoosh... she was in like a flash, several apologies from hubby and fortuneately the fisherman saw the funny side.

Haha. You're right, he does live the life of Riley. Mind you, so do I, we are really lucky to have loads of fab walks literally on our doorstep or just a quick ride in the car away - loads of them make a nice round trip. Don't worry Jan, I'm not over walking him - he's on a timer now (kind of)

He lets me know when it's time to go out, just click on the picture and it should play the video (fingers crossed).

Here he is on a walk yesterday. Like me, he's not over fond of the heat and found the only puddle in a 6000 mile radius then he went for a swim in it. How I wanted to join him! He just makes everyone laugh wherever he goes. I'm blessed to have him.

Image

Just about the only place he doesn't come with me is to the gym. He comes to our dance lesson with us, dancing an Argentine tango with a dog between your feet and hanging on to your trouser leg has to be experienced to be believed! :1968

Ooooops - went into proud Mum overdrive again, I can just see your eyes glazing over. Sorry!!
