Woody
Today is Woodys 3 year home day, how the time as flown by. It doesn't seem 2 minutes ago that we were stood with an " out of his depth" little lad, telling Jan that no matter what he was going home with us. I remember telling Jan that we were setting off to Cornwall that weekend and what did she think. "He'll be fine", never a truer word. After a couple of days with us, bathed, clipped and Vets, off we went. Woody just slotted into place, albeit a little tentatively to start with. We all had a wonderful holiday with lots of cuddles from people passing by. From there on in he decided that having pets was definately his thing.
3 years down the line he is a much loved and cherished member of the family. How fate played it's part is all down to Jan phoning one sunday evening. Woody just had to be.
For a dog his age, 8 1/2, he is unbelievably fit and so interested in everything around him, he runs me ragged at times. Having him and Willow is like a match made in heaven ( or should that be Chorley) they adore each other. Woody loves people, he will demand cuddles from anyone, but always manages to keep a watchful eye on us, just to make sure we are still there and not leaving him behind..as if.
Thankyou Jan for that sunday call, it just had to be.
Love to you all and your very precious Goldens.

Happy Forever Home Day Woody and we hope you have many more to come. Along with Willow, you are a lucky boy to have a wonderful loving home. Lynn, I have always believed that what goes around, comes around. We give these beautiful Goldens a new loving home, another chance to be happy and safe......but they bring us SO much more.
Lot's of love and s to you all,

You know, when people stop to talk to the dogs, not us! I hasten to add, they always ask if they are related. No, just friends and they are rescues. They will say aren't they lucky, no, it's us that are the lucky ones to be able to have these wonderful dogs in our lives.

Happy ' third birthday Woody' with Willow, Lynn and David, can't believe where the time has gone in those 3 years, he certainly doesn't look over 8yrs.
(Cobi will be 8 in less than a month, can't believe that either... the way she also races around)
Love from

3 years, it seems like yesterday. Such a handsome boy very different from the sad bundle you took home with you. He has flourished with your love and care. Wonderful pictures of him. Happy forever home day Woody
