Harvey is brilliant and gorgeous. He has had an eventful few weeks. He has been neutered, our vet agreed that it is the best thing to do if we don't plan to breed him, our other boy dogs have had the op. The 3 males in my family all winced , even though Harvey didn't. :
  , even though Harvey didn't. :
He has been on his first 'family holiday' - a week in Windermere. He has had such a great time. He enjoyed splashing in the lake. We used an extending lead so that we could keep control, just as well when he decided to chase a duck.
At home we sometimes go to a dog friendly pub for lunch and at first he was a bit excitable but he is becoming more settled when we go there. When we were away we ate out for lunch most days and he just settled next to us with his drink and treats. Of course sometimes people made a fuss of him (because he is gorgeous) and he got excited, but why not.
We met a lot of golden retrievers when we were away and of course dogs and owners bond.
We have a cheeky naughty puppy and we would not change him for the world
