Retriever Rescue

On Friday morning I was listening to the Pat Kenny programme on RTE1 (I often listen to that channel in the mornings - get some interesting stuff!), and Pat was interviewing someone who was terribly disabled. The person, who could only speak very slowly and very disjointedly, was telling him about the dog they had which could put washing in the washer, and take it out again, and many other household tasks - quite incredible.
Pat asked what breed was the dog - the answer - a Golden Retriever (of course!!). Apparently there are six dogs trained as aides in Ireland, and this was one of the six. I have heard of this before, but never heard an interview with the dog's owner before.
