Hi Everyone
Just thought i would update you on Monty.Although it is coming up to a year soon since we picked up Monty from Jan-i can't believe what a changed dog he is just these past few weeks. We have been very patient with him as he was such a mixed up boy then.Well just recently just when we think he couldn't relax more well he just has.He has become a complete softy and just wants to lie on me or drape himself over me allll the time. Its completely wonderful. He Has let go of all his hangups and worries and is so much more relaxed.I never believed he would turn out to be the most affectionate little man.Although i did hope so.He is still only very young and very different from all the other Goldens we have had who arrived instantly in love with us.I knew we couldn't rush him with anything.Well he has come to his own decision that life is just grand now.I am SO pleased for him.Lots of photos to post so brace yourselves!!
Love to all
Diane,Ellie and Monty

So glad to hear Monty is now a very happy and settled boy now. The love and care you have given him, now has you reaping the rewards that owning a golden can bring. You should be very proud of him , as he must also be proud of you, congratulations. :n6: :1960:

Awww thanks Lenny! There might be more change to come yet he's a real soppy boy now compared to the frantic little man from the beginning. He was so mistrustful and defensive back then.Love to you and yours. How is Snowy i hope i have got that right?

Great photographs Diane.... that's started the ball rolling.

It just goes to show what patience and love can do in 'unravelling' their past and giving them another opportunity in life...... in this world of rush rush, me me, I'm certain that a lot of 'so called animal lovers' forget just how much effort has to be put into owning dogs..... a dog can be cast aside and discarded in some peoples eyes..... and some mothers and fathers would like to do the same to their children..... you get out of life what you put in, and the stories on this website show just how much care Jan puts in 'matching' the dog to it's new owner. :love4

Lucy is doing fine Diane,

Had the remainder of the drain taken out so just a few days till the stitches come out.

I was told that Lucy should be resting and not going for walks. Tell that to Lucy No chance. She would be frantic if Duke & I went out without her. Would do more harm than good.

Lennie Pleased to hear Snowy is doing well :love4
