Don't know about anyone else, but if I meet people whilst walking that frown at the dogs, I instantly take a dislike to them. If you can't smile at a Golden, then him upstairs help you!!! Met a couple this morning along the river walk, said good morning, not a so and so peep from either of them, my words, if you can't smile with this gorgeous weather, heaven help you when it's raining and blowing a gale.
Met a lovely elderly lady yesterday with 2 King Charles. She had had Goldens in her younger days, when she lost her last one she decided that she still wanted a dog, but something smaller. We walked along chatting about Goldens and discovered that hers had been related to our past dogs. When I left her to go back to the car, she said "thankyou for talking to me, I've really enjoyed it, I hope we meet again". How nice to meet someone like that, although all the ladies we meet are lovely, and we just saunter along talking DOGS.
