just a quick update
its now 6 months since robbie was diagnosed with cancer and I seriously never believed I'd get to this day
He had his six month check last month and touch wood everything is going well the blood results were all normal and dispite a little hiccup when he started limping and I was convinced his tumour was back he is doing great (the limp was an over enthusiastic walk)
He still has his chemo once a month but at just over £10 for two months supply worth every penny
I hope it gives people hope that a dire prognosis is not the end and that new treatments (all be it a human drug) can really work

We are so glad that Robbie, is getting better, we were in a similar situation a few months ago with Snowy. The waiting to get the results was the worst for us, and when we got the good news it was such a relief. Snowy is not out of the woods yet, but as its his third birthday on friday he will get some extra special treats and cuddles. We send Robbie and you lots of kisses and cuddles as well and of course all the best a long and happy future together. Lenny Celia Emily and Snowy.

Philly cheese usually helps pills to go down easier, have to say the Jaffa Cakes would be a no no for me...

ordinarily i would agree but i discussed it at length with my vet surgery
because he has to take 5 tablets a day 6 if you include his glucosamine it would be too hard or messy with so many
i've tried cheese but cos there is so little theobromine in the chocolate covering on the jaffa cakes the vet and i have decided it is the best solution
this is a dog who ate a complete box of ferroro rocher including papers !!!
it is not a solution for everyone but for us its working

Abigail who was epileptic from age of 4yrs had 3 'phenobarbs' twice a day wrapped in either wafer thin ham or pushed into a small cube of corned beef, or a small piece of cheese... as did Jasmine who had prednisalone and other numerous tablets daily over many years.

Many years ago friend of my husbands used to give his labrador a bar of chocolate everyday.... and then wondered why his dog was having fits.
We were having a drink in a pub near to Bedale years ago and the licensee was feeding her golden retriever a bar of 'dark chocolate' the poor dog was a fat as a pig.....It was like a sheep with no neck...... it made my blood boil, needless to say we finished our drink asap, but not before I told the stupid woman what she was doing to her dog.....The vets at our practices stated that chocolate even 'doggie chocs' should never be given under any circumstances. I wonder why different vets have such different opinions when they have the same training !!!!!!!

How do you manage to put the pic on? , as I have tried to put one on of Ole but have not succeeded as yet.
