You are right there Lynn.... once a wallower always....a dirty little s*d. :1957:

Jade was 12+ at the time (1992) and she swam a slurry pool on a friends farm where we were caravanning... that was after she had swam in a clean pool and been walked around acres and acres of fields, a bottle and a half of 'wash n go' shampoo later.. she was 'clean and fluffy'..... dirty little blighter...she just smiled and slithered in like a crocodile...(it was in April and so cold)

Goldens and mud are two words that go togeather, you cant have a golden if you want a sanatised house, but you can have a lot of fun, laughs and love. The joy they get from wallowing brings a smile to my face everytime.A hose and wipe down makes them as good as new, then when someone sees them and comments on how lovley and clean they are, if only they knew. :2019:

I love to see muddy goldens. My old Barney was the one ,he used to love to go head first into the mud in the gateways to the fields. They were always churned up with the tractors. He was definitely half hippo

Candy looks lovely.

Lovely muddy, mucky Mollie... but not quite as filthy as the Pedigree advert for jumbone...... I've finally seen it, and both of us couldn't stop laughing.... only ever had two dogs that mucky... Jasmine had to be 'liberated' by her tail from a rabbit warren..... and Ceili dropped her body into a muddy puddle and went round and round like a cathrin wheel in Richmond Park and the more we all laughed at her the more she wallowed... just the bridge of her nose was 'golden'....... Hope Cobi wasn't watching the advert :1960

Brilliant advert if the dog was darker could be Bronson, he is back to normal playing in all the puddles he can find (muddier the better) He really did miss playing with the other dogs on his daily walk on the feild but now he is not on lead walk only he loves being with his freinds once again. The statement made last week by a dog owner was 'Bronson is back'

Hi everyone! I havent posted for a while - but good to read the posts. I really like the Jumbone add - the first time it came on we were in mid conversation and both fell silent... the conversation went ...
me: 'is that seriously a golden'
hubby: ' O dear lord how much fun did he have making that ad'
(both look at Wick asleep in his bed and imagine our white duvet upstairs)
hubby: 'I am not sure he would make it out alive'
me: 'we need new bedding anyway darling'.

Ha ha ha!!
I would enter the Wallower of the year competion any day!!!

On another day in the Dales hubby and friend decided to take an afternoon stroll followed with a pint and of course Wick was up for it.... but then he accidentally tripped in a cow pat and they had to come home instead!

Just one more day in the life of the Yorkshire Boy!! XX
