Beware with pet insurance the cheapest is not always the best, also look to see if the pet insurance insures "for life", many dont, and see what the total price they cover many do around £4k which in this day and age isnt much, we are with M&S they cover for life and cover up to £7k,we pay around £19 & £21 per month for my two, also have a word with your vet they are the ones that fill in the claim forms and you would be surprised which pet ins need to know everything before they pay out.
As for wormers & frontline etc I use Vet medic on line.

Just thought Id update everyone, Lucy doing great untill about an hour ago , whilst taking her for a walk to the local park she was attacked by another dog ,not on a lead . She gave as good as she was getting as I tried to pull them apart, the place were she was attacked is very narrow so it was hard to get her away fast. When we did get away the other dog came back and was really having ago at her,so much so that I had to kick it three times to get it off. This I am not proud of but drastic action was needed. we got away the lady and child with the other dog went in the opposite direction, nothing was said, maybe she wanted to get her dog away before it started again.I was trying to get lucy away in the opposite direction. After giving her a good check over we made our way back home and as we did she heard a girl who was playing on the park scream this spooked her again and she sliped her collar and headed for the only major road we pass on the way home, she ran into the road with me running and shouting after her, and stopped in the middle I ran into the road and got her to safety. She seems ok . We are giving her a lot of fuss and love. If I see that woman again she will be the one on the receiving end of a very long and loud ear bashing and the dog will not get any where near Lucy again. Will not be able to update you in the next few days as I am going away till monday on a lads bithday long weekend, but she seems fine now no bleeding or anything,Wife staying at home,so she will be well looked after. Will be intouch when I get back.

Back home glad to say Lucy seems none the worse for her ordeal walked her past the spot where she was attacked, with no problems, she is back to her normal lovable self took her to the seaside as soon as I got back as a treet she loved it as usuall didnt want to come off the beach, had to tempt her with a nice stone, infact came back with a few in a carrier bag. I must be sad searching the beach for just the right size shape and wheight for her,so she cant swallow them and not to heavy for her to carry, and the beach ones are great as they are rouned so she wont hurt her mouth with any jagged edges.I think Ive stated before shes not intrested in sticks or balls it has to be stones.

Hi Lenny,
Good to hear Lucy's ok now. It can be very frightening. It happened to my husband last year. He was walking Ella as usual when this dog came out of nowhere and landed on her back and had her by the throat. My husband DID use his feet, he could'nt do anything else!! She was shaken but otherwise ok.
Just a word of warning with the stones. Our previous goldie, Leigh, had an absolute mania for stones. She would drag them out of the river, dig them up, and carry them for miles, and she always knew exactly where she had left them. Unfortunatly, she broke a tooth on more than one occasion and ended up having to have them out, so we had to stop the stones. If you dont already, check her mouth when she,s been playing
